Taboga Update - Summer 2016

I’m working on updating the information across all of my social media channels.

1. Website: I’m going to fully renovate www.tabogapanama.com for 2016; we’re already working on it. I’m going to put it up in Spanish and English and make it friendlier so people can quickly find the basics — boat tickets, restaurants, places to stay, etc. I’ll also add a frequently-asked-questions section, and I’m working on a weekly news section.

2. Facebook: we’re working on the Facebook group page, which already has more than 2,000 members. We want to reach a different audience beyond the one we already have; the more we show the island to the world, the more people arrive and the more they invest in it. The group will have information in English. Whatever gets posted weekly will be mirrored across all of @tabogapanama’s social media.

3. We’ve had a WordPress blog for many years, but I haven’t updated it in a while; we’re picking it back up to turn it into a serious tool.

4. @tabogapanama’s Twitter already has 751 followers and keeps growing, since whenever I come across a post with #taboga I point them to the page.

5. Our Instagram is @tab0gapanama — I can’t use “tabogapanama” because of Instagram’s rules — it’s fairly new and already has 342 followers.

6. The YouTube page is the one I’ve neglected the most, but for this summer 2016 I plan to link up every single one of my social media accounts for better distribution and a better showcase of the island.

I’ll add a “Taboga Summer 2016” logo to the posts that are updated, to keep track of what we’re working on and finishing.
